I have been practicing Yoga for many years and am a fully qualified and accredited Yoga Teacher and member of the British Wheel of Yoga and Yoga Alliance. (RYT BWY). I also hold a current First Aid Certificate.
I have trained with Lara Bauman and Tara Fraser. I have also studied with Danny Paradise and Maya Fiennes. I continue to study and learn from various different teachers.
I teach a Vinyasa style of yoga with the emphasis on breath controlled movement. I incorporate Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Ayurveda, Aromatherapy and Anatomy and Physiology of the asanas to create a practice that awakens the mind body and spirit and brings emotional stability and clarity of mind. I use Beautiful Mind Beautiful Body Aromatherapy products during the class to help restore mind and body.
I have studied Pranayama or breath work with Philip Xerri and Meditation with Swami. I use Pranayama and Meditation to help bring some calm and quiet into peoples’ lives and also to help with their breathing in particular those with Asthma. To this end I am developing a programme called Yoga for Asthma.I have been using Essential Oils and alternative natural medicine from a young age to treat myself and have always been interested in the Holistic approach to healing and keeping fit and healthy.
I first became interested in Alternative treatments as a way to treat my Rheumatoid Arthritis and Eczema; they proved very effective, and so began my journey learning more about how to treat myself using natural remedies and how a healthy diet and lifestyle can help I developed Asthma much later on and now work with Asthma UK as a Research and Policy adviser. I use Yoga and Pranayama to help with my Asthma and breathing and have found this to work amazingly well. I offer Yoga to help treat Asthma and breathing difficulties including dealing with anxiety. I studied Yoga, Aromatherapy and Holistic Massage in order for me to practice what I passionately believe in. I use a holistic approach; this treats the mind, body and soul; and so works on a much deeper level than conventional treatments. I teach Yoga and hold Workshops and Retreats throughout the year in the UK and Italy.

Much emphasis is placed upon environmental factors in asthma prevention and treatment.
The importance of role of breathing is not sufficiently acknowledged as a therapeutic option. There are many recent trials evaluating the efficacy of breathing techniques, posture, relaxation and stress reduction that suggest their importance in treating asthma and lung diseases. Increasing greater self-awareness when it comes to breathing is part of the process. If you can recognise how consciously to change your breathing, shifting from short, quick panting, or deep inhalations through the nose and then out of your mouth – then you can control your breathing when you feel an attack coming on.
Learning to breath in a yogic way can lessen anxiety and stress, relaxing the muscles opens up the windpipe. Taking deep breaths and learning yogic breathing and postures are part of the process.
Conventional treatment for asthma generally takes the form of a bronchodilator to expand the bronchi, and immunosuppressors to block allergic reactions.
Chronic or enduring difficulties result in dosages being to be increased and the introduction of steroids.
Though yoga has been shown to be beneficial in treating asthma, it is not a quick fix. Yoga therapy aims to cure, not treat asthma, and concentrates on teaching you how to breathe.

About One to one Yoga sessions London
Healing occurs when you re-align your body to its optimal state of being.
It works like this: when the body is in optimal alignment you have maximum range of motion, strength and stamina. Circulation flows bringing nutrients and life into all areas, and all parts of the body work together as one. The body begins to heal itself, which is what it is designed to do. We just give it a helping hand to.
During a Yoga session a combination of manual manipulation is used with yoga poses to teach your mind and body to move toward your personal optimal state of health.
A one on one session allows me to assist you in discovering your strengths, and unravel the holding patterns in your body that create distress and illness in the body. Helping you to build awareness enables you to align with nature, and healing happens.
Using this form of Yoga can help you learn to heal and remove the cause of your pain and injuries. It has been a very effective healing approach for thousands of people.
